Designed with user-friendliness in mind, this compact machine provides a perfect brew of coffee, espresso, and cappuccino, all at the touch of a button. As part of Tchibo’s commitment to quality, the Cafissimo Pure offers a delightful coffee experience that combines convenience with superior taste.

One of the standout features of the Tchibo Cafissimo Pure is its versatility. With multiple coffee options available, users can effortlessly switch between classic black coffee, rich espresso, and creamy cappuccino. This flexibility makes it an excellent choice for households with varying coffee preferences. The machine uses Tchibo’s proprietary coffee capsules, ensuring each cup is freshly brewed and full of flavor.

Another highlight of the Cafissimo Pure is its compact design. Measuring just a few inches in width, it fits perfectly on kitchen countertops without taking up too much space. This is particularly beneficial for those with limited kitchen real estate or for coffee lovers who want a portable option for travel or office use. The machine is also lightweight, adding to its portability.

When it comes to operation, the Tchibo Cafissimo Pure shines with its user-friendly interface. The one-touch controls make brewing coffee a hassle-free process. Each capsule slot is clearly labeled, ensuring even novice users can prepare their favorites with ease. Furthermore, the machine features an automatic shut-off function that enhances energy efficiency, a nod to Tchibo’s dedication to sustainability.

In terms of aesthetics, the Cafissimo Pure is available in a selection of stylish colors, making it a charming addition to any kitchen decor. Its modern design, combined with the compact size, makes it not just a coffee maker but a stylish appliance that complements the kitchen environment.

While the Tchibo Cafissimo Pure has many positive attributes, there are a couple of considerations to keep in mind. The reliance on Tchibo’s specific coffee capsules may be a limitation for some who prefer more variety or enjoy grinding their own beans. Additionally, the cost of the capsules over time can accumulate, which is something to consider when budgeting for this coffee machine.

To summarize, the Tchibo Cafissimo Pure offers a holistic coffee-making experience that caters to various preferences. Here are some of the key points to consider:

  • Versatile Brewing Options: Coffee, espresso, and cappuccino all in one machine.
  • Compact Design: Suitable for small kitchens or on-the-go coffee lovers.
  • User-Friendly Interface: One-touch operation simplifies the brewing process.
  • Aesthetic Appeal: Available in stylish colors for modern kitchen decor.
  • Energy Efficient: Automatic shut-off function promotes sustainability.

In conclusion, the Tchibo Cafissimo Pure is an excellent investment for those who appreciate great coffee and want a machine that offers convenience and delicious results. While it may not cater to everyone’s coffee preferences due to its reliance on Tchibo capsules, the overall experience it provides is hard to overlook. If you are seeking a reliable and efficient way to enjoy various types of coffee from the comfort of your home, the Cafissimo Pure is certainly a worthy contender.

beneath the spout. You will then hear 2 beeps.
All buttons will flash; the machine is heating up to make a beverage.
The machine will beep once it has heated up. All buttons will now light up
    continuously.

  12. Pour away the water that is in the cup and rinse the machine twice as described in the chapter “Rinsing the machine”. The machine is then ready for use.

Rinsing the machine

After switching the machine on for the first time, or if you have not used the
machine for longer than 2 days, rinse the machine by allowing 2 cups of water
to flow through (without a capsule).

  1. Pull the water tank straight up and out of the machine.

  2. Fill the water tank with fresh, cold tap water or drinking water up to the MAX mark.

  3. Reinsert the water tank into the machine. Press it down as far as it will go.

  4. Fold down the lever if necessary without inserting a capsule.

  5. Place an empty cup or similar underneath the beverage spout.

  6. Press any button to switch on the machine. You will hear a short beep.

  7. When all buttons light up continuously, press the Caffè crema button.
The pump will rinse the pipes with water, which will then run into the cup
underneath. You will hear a beep at the end of the rinsing process.

  8. Pour the water away.

  9. Repeat steps 7 and 8.

  10. Finally, empty the front drawer and, if necessary, the used capsule container:

    • Lift off the drip tray.
    • Pull out the front drawer as illustrated.
    • Remove the used capsule container (figure to the left).
    • Empty the front drawer and, if necessary, the used capsule container (figure to the right).
    • Reinsert all parts into the machine in reverse order.

HOW TO USE

The finest aroma – the finest flavour

  • One capsule per cup
Each capsule is portioned for one cup of black coffee, caffè crema or
    espresso.

  • Full-bodied aroma
Only insert a capsule when you intend to use the machine. The capsule is
pierced as it is inserted. If it is not used immediately, the aroma will fade.

  • Preheating the cup
Fill the cup with hot water and pour it away shortly before using the cup.
This will ensure your coffee tastes its best.

  • Strength of the beverage
Adjust the strength of the beverage to suit your taste by adjusting the
quantity of water. This is very easy to do, and is described in the chapter
“Adjusting the strength of the beverage (beverage quantity)”.

Using large/small cups or glasses

Switching the machine on/off

  • Switching the machine on
    • Press any button briefly to switch on the machine. You will hear a short beep. All buttons will flash; the machine is heating up to make a beverage. The machine will beep once it has heated up. All buttons will light up continuously.
  • Switching the machine off
    • To switch the machine off, briefly press the Espresso and Caffè crema buttons at the same time.

Standby mode
If no button is pressed for about 9 minutes, the machine will automatically
switch to standby mode. All buttons will fade. The machine will then use very
little energy. This is both a safety function and a way to save energy. We
would however recommend that you always switch the machine off manually after
use.To disconnect the machine from the mains power completely, remove the
mains plug from the wall socket.

Filling the water tank

  1. Pull the water tank straight up and out of the machine.
  2. Fill the water tank with fresh, cold tap water or drinking water up to the MAX mark.
  3. Reinsert the water tank into the machine and push it down as far as it will go.

Preparing beverages

  1. Fold back the lever as far as it will go and insert a Cafissimo capsule as illustrated with the lid facing forwards.
The capsule must be intact: Do not pierce it and do not remove the capsule lid
    or insert a misshapen capsule!

  2. Fold the lever down completely. This pierces the base and lid of the inserted capsule.

  3. Place an empty cup underneath the beverage spout.

  4. Press the button that corresponds to the capsule you have inserted:
The brewing process starts and stops automatically. You will hear a beep at
the end of the brewing process.

  5. Before removing the coffee cup from the drip grid, fold back the lever as far as it will go and then down again.
The machine loses pressure. Residual liquid may leak out of the beverage
spout. The used capsule then falls into the used capsule container.
If you would like to stop the brewing process prematurely, press the same
    beverage button again while brewing.
Making espresso and caffè crema involves brewing a small amount of espresso or
caffè crema. This is to allow the flavours to develop fully. This process can
be identified by the short pause at the beginning of the brewing process.
Black coffee is made without prebrewing.
Default settings upon purchasing the machine:

    • Espresso approx. 40 ml
    • Caffè crema approx. 125 ml
    • Black coffee approx. 125 ml
Tip: You can adjust the strength of the beverage by adjusting the
quantity of water. Refer to the section titled “Adjusting the strength of the
beverage (beverage quantity)” for information on how to do this.

After use
Empty and clean the front drawer, drip tray and used capsule container
regularly.

  1. Lift off the drip tray.
  2. Pull out the front drawer as illustrated.
  3. Remove the used capsule container. The used capsule container must be emptied daily or when it is full. The used capsule container holds approx. 6 capsules.
  4. Empty the used capsule container.
  5. Empty the front drawer.
  6. Empty the drip tray if necessary.
  7. Reinsert all parts into the machine in reverse order.

Adjusting the strength of the beverage (beverage quantity)
Adjust the strength of the beverage to suit your taste by adjusting the
quantity of water. You can do this for one single brewing procedure or save
the setting.

Adjusting the strength for the current brewing procedure (without saving
the setting)

  • If the beverage is too weak for your taste, you can stop the water flow prematurely by pressing the flashing beverage button.
  • If the beverage is too strong for your taste, simply start the brewing process again without inserting a new capsule. Press the button again as soon as sufficient water has run through.

Default settings upon purchasing the machine:

  • Espresso approx. 40 ml
  • Caffè crema approx. 125 ml
  • Black coffee approx. 125 ml

Setting the strength beverage permanently (saving the setting)
You can also permanently change the factory settings for the beverage
quantities. You can customise one setting for each beverage button: one each
for espresso, caffè crema and black coffee.

  1. Fill the water tank, insert a capsule and place a cup underneath the beverage spout.
  2. Press and hold the required button (e.g. Caffè crema). You will hear a beep after approx. 2 seconds. Release the button as soon as the desired quantity of coffee has been dispensed into the cup. You will hear two beeps. The setting has been saved. If the settings are not to your taste, simply repeat the procedure to change them again.

Restoring the factory settings
To reset to the original amounts of beverage, proceed as follows:

  1. Switch the machine off: To do so, briefly press the Espresso button and the Caffè crema button simultaneously.
  2. Then hold the Caffè crema and Black coffee buttons down simultaneously.
  3. Also briefly press the Espresso button once. All beverage buttons will flash in confirmation.
  4. Release all buttons.
The factory settings for beverage quantity have been restored.

**Descaling

**

If the indicator light is lit up in yellow, the machine needs to be descaled.
Do this within the next couple of days. Do not wait any longer, otherwise the
limescale build-up may be too extensive for a descaling agent to have any
effect. Descaling takes approx. 30 minutes.

NOTICE – material damage
Incorrect or insufficient descaling can damage the machine.

  • Descale the machine as soon as it indicates that this is necessary (after approx. 50 litres). This increases its service life and saves energy.
  • Do not use any descaling agents made based on formic acid.
  • Use a standard liquid descaling agent suitable for coffee and espresso machines. Other agents may damage materials in the machine and/or have no effect.

To descale the machine, proceed as follows:

  1. Switch the machine off if necessary: To do so, briefly press the Espresso button and the Caffè crema button at the same time.

  2. Pull the water tank out of the machine.

  3. Pour a standard liquid descaling agent for coffee and espresso machines into the empty water tank.

  4. Pour in cold water up to the MAX mark.

  5. Reinsert the water tank into the machine. Press it down as far as it will go.

  6. Fold down the lever and remove the drip tray.

  7. Place an empty container with a capacity of at least 800 ml under the beverage spout. You will need to empty the container underneath several times during the descaling process.

  8. Press and hold the Espresso button and the Black coffee button at the same time for approx. 5 seconds until …

  9. the Caffè crema button lights up and the indicator light flashes alternately between red/yellow. Press the Caffè crema button to start descaling.
The descaling process begins. The Caffè crema button will fade and the
indicator light will flash alternately between red/yellow. The procedure takes
approx. 25 minutes. The machine pumps descaling solution into the pipes
several times in 2.5-minute intervals. Each time about 60 ml is dispensed into
    the container below.

  10. Do not leave the machine unattended during the descaling process. Make sure you pour out the water in the container underneath in time to prevent the container from overflowing.
Once all the descaling solution has been pumped through the machine, the
machine stops for approx. 2.5 minutes. The indicator light continues to flash
alternately between red and yellow. After 2.5 minutes, the Caffè crema button
lights up again and a beep sounds.

  11. Remove the water tank, the front drawer and the used capsule container from the machine.

  12. Wash all individual parts with water and washing-up liquid. Dry all parts thoroughly.

  13. Reinsert all parts except for the water tank into the machine.

  14. Fill the water tank with cold tap water up to the MAX mark.

  15. Reinsert the water tank into the machine. Press it down as far as it will go.

  16. Place an empty container with a capacity of at least 600 ml under the beverage spout.

  17. Press the Caffè crema button to start the rinsing process. The rinsing phase will begin.
The Caffè crema button will fade and the indicator light will flash yellow.
The procedure takes approx. 2 minutes.

Approx. 600 ml water will be rinsed through the system. Keep an eye on the
container and empty it before it overflows. On completing rinsing, the machine
will emit a beep and automatically switch into standby mode. The indicator
light will go out. The descaling process is then complete.
